You are excitedly expecting a child, but maybe your dog isn’t quite as sure that this is a good thing. Has he become clingy? Is he needing more of your attention? Has he started doing things he hasn’t done in a long time? You understand what’s happening, but your dog doesn’t! Now is the time […]
UPDATE JANUARY 2020:
Fingers and Paws is up and running in South Melbourne! If you are pregnant or have young children in the home with a dog, or you have a new puppy, check out my services and get in touch. If you live beyond my service area, I may be able to connect you to a fellow FPPE member or coordinate with a trainer in your area to support you. If you are in the US and are pregnant or have young children in the home with a dog, check out or reach out to Family Paws Parent Education directly.
Private services are designed for you. I recommend private services when specialized training is needed outside of a group class, if a group setting is not appropriate for your dog, or if you simply prefer the focused assistance, in-depth education, and one-on-one attention. If you are thirsty for knowledge about, as well as training for, your dog, then this is a great choice for you.
- Helping people that are expecting a child or have young children to prepare their dog(s) for the ongoing changes that living with children brings. As a licensed consultant for Family Paws Parent Education, I take great pleasure in helping families to become more Dog Aware™!
- Socializing young puppies (under 5 months old) to all facets of life with humans, as well as teaching their humans about puppy care and training
- Helping shy pups gain more trust and confidence
- Working with family members who are concerned about or afraid of theirs or other dogs - I have also assisted families that don't have a dog but have someone dealing with mild fear
Please contact me prior to registering to ensure that you are selecting the service that is ideal for you, your family and your pup. My specialties are given priority, but I will take on other clients as time allows.
